Adjunct Instructor of Exercise & Sport Science

Job Summary:

The Department of Exercise & Sport Science seeks an adjunct instructor(s) for AY2019-2020 to teach ESS 101: Wellness, ESS 251: Motor Development, BIO 370: Kinesiology, ESS 378: Sport Psychology, ESS 460: Health Education & Promotion and/or ESS 467: Exercise Physiology

Primary Responsibilities:

Teach courses in the Exercise & Sport Science Department, with a primary focus in the Health Promotion & Performance major. Instructors are responsible for creating appropriate lesson plans and assignments, grading papers, conducting appropriate assessments of student learning based on program objectives, holding regular office hours, and submitting both midterm and final grades.

Qualifications:

Candidates should 1) hold at least a master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Education & Promotion (or related field), 2) share a commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community, 3) demonstrate a vital and growing Christian faith. Experience in teaching courses at the college level is preferred.

Salary/Benefits:
Adjunct faculty hold the rank of instructor and are hired on a per course basis.
