Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry
The Department of Science and Mathematics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Judson University seeks applications for individuals to fill a full-time position in Chemistry and Biochemistry for the fall of 2014. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in chemistry or biochemistry and the ability to oversee a strong biochemistry major.
The position includes teaching introductory and upper level undergraduate chemistry and biochemistry courses including organic chemistry and analytical chemistry. Candidates with the potential to develop and sustain a research program that would involve undergraduates will receive special consideration. The duties of the position also include student advising and participation in department and university governance.
Candidates must 1) hold an earned doctorate in chemistry or biochemistry, 2) demonstrate an active and growing Christian faith, 3) share a commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community, 4) be willing to affirm the university’s mission and community standards (see www.judsonu.edu/about/) and 5) possess collaborative skills to work with colleagues across the Science and Mathematics Department and throughout the university.
