Assistant or Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry

Job Summary:

The Department of Science and Mathematics in the School of Liberal Arts, Sciences and Education at Judson University seeks applications from individuals to fill a full-time position in Chemistry and Biochemistry for the fall of 2016. Tenure-track status may be available to the finalist.  The ideal candidate will have a PhD in chemistry or biochemistry and the ability to oversee a strong biochemistry major.

Primary Responsibilities:

The position includes teaching introductory and upper level undergraduate chemistry and biochemistry courses including organic chemistry and analytical chemistry.  Candidates with the potential to develop and sustain a research program that would involve undergraduates will receive special consideration.  The duties of the position also include student advising and participation in department and university governance.


Candidates must 1) hold an earned doctorate in chemistry or biochemistry, 2) demonstrate an active and growing Christian faith, 3) share a commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community, and 4) possess collaborative skills to work with colleagues across the Science and Mathematics Department and throughout the college.
