Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Planning
Nancy (Smith) Binger ’97 is Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Planning. In this capacity, her responsibilities include oversight of Admissions, Financial Aid, Marketing and Communications, Athletics and the RISE program. She also serves as the Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.
The 1997 business alum returned to Judson in a professional capacity in 2001 as the Director of Athletic Marketing and Promotions, a position she held for four years. During that time, she revamped the look of athletics through marketing and sports information. In 2005, she was promoted to Associate Athletic Director, and in 2007 to Athletic Director. She received a master’s degree in Sports Management in 2010 from Northern Illinois University. In all, she served the Judson University Athletics Department for 10 years prior to her post of Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Planning.
During her tenure as Athletic Director, Binger added 12 sports, oversaw major renovations to the softball field and tennis courts, brought the Chicago Bandits to campus, hired 10 new coaches, and saw programs enter the NAIA National Poll and win their first CCAC Championships.
In 2011, she was promoted to Executive Director of Enrollment Services and then in 2014 to Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Planning. She became Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Planning in June 2015.
Her tie to Judson started as a student-athlete on the women’s basketball team. The four-year letterman was a NCCAA All-American, a NAIA Great Lakes All-Sectional member, and was the 1997 Judson Female Athlete of the Year.
Before coming to Judson, she spent three years at the NCAA Division I Summit League (formerly the Mid-Continent Conference) as Director of Media Relations.
Nancy and her husband, Chad, live in Union, Ill., with their three children. They attend Willow Creek Huntley Church, where Nancy serves on the Leadership Advisory Council.
