Dr. Susan Wesner joined the School of Business and Professional Studies’ Center for Adult Professional Studies in the fall of 2010 as an adjunct instructor. In the fall of 2012, Susan became the Director of Human Services. She provides administrative oversight, develops curriculum, oversees field placement, and teaches several courses including: Social Welfare Policy, Human Behavior and the Social Environment, Cultural Competence, Practice Perspective in Older Adult Care, and Integrated Learning Capstone Course. Prior to joining Judson, Susan managed an early Alzheimer’s unit at a Continuing Care Retirement Community, worked as an eldercare consultant, and taught Psychology of Aging and Death, Grief and Caring at Messiah College in Grantham, PA. Dr. Wesner has conducted extensive research in the field of Gerontology, focusing on caregiving, end of life care options for older adults, and creating new paradigms of care for persons with Alzheimer’s disease.
