Why the distinction of “Adult” in the accelerated program?

As a busy adult, you need a program that makes the most of your time. You also need a program that offers coursework that can be directly applied to the career you’re in or want to enter. And you need to be in a program where you enjoy being in class with others who are in a similar place in life.

Our Adult Undergraduate Programs have been designed with all this in mind. Courses are geared for students who are bringing their own life experiences into the classroom and are taught by faculty who can share insights from their own professional experiences.

What’s a cohort?

A major feature of your education at Judson University is your cohort, which is a small group of students who move through their program together from the first class to the last. There are many benefits to the cohort structure, including:

  • Lifelong relationships with career networking opportunities
  • Learning from the different experiences of other students
  • Pre-planned set of courses (so you don’t have to fight for a spot or worry that it won’t be offered when you need to take it)
  • Focus on one course at a time
  •

How much of my time will it take?

When you enroll in the Judson University Adult Undergraduate Program, you’ll quickly discover that it is possible to earn a college degree whether you’re working full time, caring for your family, or both. Students typically finish their major program in as few as 22 months. Graduating with a Judson degree may take longer depending on your previous learning experiences.

You have many areas in your life that demand your attention. That’s why we’ve structured our programs to be completed with a manageable time commitment. You can earn your degree by attending class just one night a week. Also, you might expect to spend about 15 hours a week on coursework outside of class.

Our students continually report the success they experienced while enrolled at Judson University and following graduation. In spite of their many responsibilities, they were able to attend college, earn a degree, and gain the job success they desired. You can too.

So, what’s it like to be a student?

At Judson University, you’re more than a student; you’re an important part of our university. Each student who attends Judson brings a unique set of ideas and experiences that make our classrooms rich and dynamic. Our desire to see you succeed leads us to take a personal interest in your goals and your education. Small classes taught by professional faculty members who care about their students mean that you receive personal attention as you earn your degree. The relationships formed with other students in your cohort also provide you with additional support that contributes to your success.
