We believe God created you for a reason, and gave you a unique blend of talents. Our goal is not only to prepare you for a successful career, but to help you discover and nurture these talents so that you can shape world through exceptional work, courageous exploration, and community engagement.


Our 79-credit hour Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programs in Graphic Design, Studio Art, and Art: Photographywill prepare you for life as a creative professional. If you are interested inarts management or art therapy, our 55-credit hour or Bachelor of Arts (BA)program in Art will allow you to add a minor or second major.

At Judson, you get the best of both worlds: a big university program that will challenge you to reach your fullest potential, and a small university setting that will allow you to work closely with experienced faculty who care about your success.

    Our convenient location outside a world class city makes studio tours and museum visits affordable and routine. Creative professionals often stop by our beautiful riverside campus for exhibitions, lectures, and critiques. Required internships enable you to gain professional experience and build a career-ready portfolio. And if you’re eager to travel, our students have studied off-campus in Italy, Australia, England, New York, Los Angeles, and right here in Chicago. All this, and we have some of the best facilities around. The Harm A. Weber Academic Center offers:

    • Digital labs with industry standard software, and small – large format printers
    • Film and photography studio with green screen and darkroom
    • Letterpress and printmaking studio
    • Drawing, painting, and ceramics studios
    • Fabrication lab with laser cutters and 3D printers
    • Woodshop with professional grade equipment
    • Individual studio spaces for upper level students
    • The Weber Center is also home to the Benjamin P. Brown Library and Jerry’s Café, and is one of the most environmentally friendly buildings of its kind in the nation.

    Art and Design Merit Scholarships

    Need some financial help? We offer scholarships to incoming Art & Design majors based on a digital portfolio evaluation. Amounts range from $4,000 to $20,000 off the cost of four years.
