Celebrated Singer-Songwriter Michael Card Will Perform During Spring Concert of Worship at Judson

(Elgin, IL – March 16, 2015) Legendary Christian singer-songwriter Michael Card will be the guest artist for the Center for Worship in the Performing Arts Spring Concert of Worship, on Sunday, April 26, at 7 p.m. in Judson University’s Herrick Chapel.

The famed contemporary Christian artist is as known for his musical acumen as he is for his biblical scholarship. Throughout a 30-year career, both have served him well. He has produced more than 30 albums, sold more than four million copies and written 19 No. 1 hits. Additionally, Card has authored 20 books, including the award-winning devotional, A Sacred Sorrow.

Among his most popular songs are “El Shaddai,” “Immanuel,” and “Come Lift Up Your Sorrows.”

Card graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Biblical Studies. He also received honorary doctorates in Music and Christian Education from Whitfield Seminary and Philadelphia Biblical University.

He and his wife Susan live in Franklin, Tenn., and have four children.

Concertgoers will pick up and pay for their tickets (cash or check only) at the will-call table at the concert. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/alumni; and $5 for students.
