Former President to Speak at Judson University's Inaugural World Leaders Forum

(ELGIN, IL   October 18, 2010)  Judson University will host its first World Leaders Forum on April 13, 2011, with former U.S. President George W. Bush as the keynote speaker, followed by a panel of accomplished entrepreneurs. The World Leaders Forum will include two key events; a VIP reception at 5 p.m., followed by the Main Presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the Lindner Fitness Center of Judson’s Elgin campus (1151 N. State St.).

Former President Bush will speak on "Free Enterprise: The Dream of All Free People" and will engage the audience through a moderated Q&A session following his talk. The panel will also address the value of free enterprise and share their perspectives as entrepreneurs. Names of the panel participants will be released at a future date.

“We’re very excited to bring former President Bush to this inaugural event as a way to showcase world leadership and inspire others on our campus and in our region,” said Tory Gum, vice president of external relations for Judson.  Judson University planners intend for the World Leadership Forum to become an annual event that offers students and area professionals the opportunity to be in the presence of and be inspired by world leaders.

This inaugural event will bring community, business and political leaders together as Judson University continues its commitment to train future world leaders by funding an endowment for a new Entrepreneurship Program. The funds raised will begin the endowment of an International Institute for Christian Entrepreneurship at Judson University. The initial component of the Institute, a program in Innovative and Creative Entrepreneurship, will be open to students of all majors, as well as to anyone who would like specialized training in entrepreneurship.

Tickets are now available for the VIP event and the Main Presentation. Ticket prices for the public range from $2,000 for the VIP reception, where attendees will have the opportunity for a photo with the president and enjoy other benefits, to $275 for the Main Presentation. Sponsorship opportunities also are available. For ticketing information, visit .
