(ELGIN, IL April 14, 2010) A MORE COMPLETE REPORT WILL BE POSTED FROM THE EVENT MIDDAY
Judson University hosted its first World Leaders Forum on April 13, 2011, with George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States, as the keynote speaker, followed by a panel of accomplished entrepreneurs. The World Leaders Forum included two key events; a VIP reception at 4 p.m., followed by the Main Presentation at 6:15 p.m. in the Lindner Fitness Center of Judson’s Elgin campus (1151 N. State St.).
Former President Bush spoke on "Free Enterprise: The Dream of All Free People" and engaged the audience through a moderated Q&A session following his talk. The panel also addressed the value of free enterprise and shared their perspectives as entrepreneurs.
This inaugural event brought community, business and political leaders together as Judson University continues its commitment to train future world leaders. Funds raised at this year’s World Leaders Forum will begin the endowment of an International Institute for Christian Entrepreneurship at Judson University.
Judson University planners intend for the World Leadership Forum to become an annual event that offers students and area professionals the opportunity to be in the presence of and be inspired by world leaders.
