Judson Chapel to Highlight Student Voices Next Week
(ELGIN, IL-March 11, 2016) When students return from Spring Break this weekend, they will prepare to hear from two of their own as chapel speakers on Monday, March 14, and Wednesday, March 16. Two Youth Ministry majors have been tapped to share their stories and to encourage the Judson community with their walks of faith.
On Monday, March 14, senior Christina Ukachukwu of Bellwood, Ill., will speak during the 10 a.m. chapel service in Herrick Chapel (1151 N. State St., Elgin). Ukachukwu says her time on the Judson campus has strengthened her faith. “I chose Judson because of the Youth Ministry program, but when I came here I got so much more. I made lifelong friends and grew so much in my relationship with God. I don't know where I'll be after graduation, but I know God will use me to reach the youth!”
On Wednesday, March 14, Youth Ministry junior Roberto Pagan Jr. of Elgin, Ill., will address the 10 a.m. chapel crowd. “I chose Judson because of the community and the at-home feeling I experienced when visiting the campus. Being from the Hispanic culture, family is a big part of my life, and here at Judson I have a family. In the future, I want to work with an organization or church youth ministry to provide teens with a safe place to hang out, grow spiritually and become disciples.”
All chapel services are free and open to the public.
