(ELGIN, IL - September 11, 2009) – Continuing to help the community around them, Judson University took part in the Day of Caring for United Way on Friday, September 11th. Elgin, as a community, came together to help those in need.
The staff and faculty kicked off the morning with a breakfast provided by the United Way. At the breakfast, there were families that told their stories of how the United Way helped them. The United Way also showed what they had been doing in the area in the past year and the past 50 years.
All the participants then went to Epworth United Methodist Church to help sort food for the different food pantries in Elgin. Everybody worked together to unite as one and help the community around them.
