Judson Music Department to Hold Upcoming Concerts
(ELGIN, IL November 10, 2009) The public is inivted to attend a series of concerts to be held by the Judson University’s Music Department.
Judson’s Symphonic Band will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, in the Herrick Chapel on Judson’s Elgin Campus (1151 N. State Street).
The Judson University Chamber Singers with the Chamber Orchestra will hold a concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, November 22, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Choir will perform the Mozart Coronation Mass, Bach Cantata 106 “God’s Time is the Best Time,” and Brahms “O lovely Night” and “Wherefore should our Singing Soar.” Soloists will be Melissa Pagano, soprano; Erin Donahue, alto; William Mayer, tenor; and visiting professor Chang Lei, bass; with accompanist Sarah Yun-Mayer.
UPDATED: The Judson University Community Orchestra will perform at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 22, at Herrick Chapel.
The Judson University Choir will hold a Christmas Concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, December 6 at Herrick Chapel.
Tickets are needed for concerts held at Judson. Tickets for the Judson Community are free (as well as children under 12). Tickets for adults are $5 and for seniors and students, tickets are $2.50. For more information, please contact the Music Office at 847-628-1110.
