(Elgin, IL - May 29, 2013) With summer break just around the corner, Judson University is offering several summer camps for students grades K-12 in the months of June and July.
Students can choose to attend camps for art and design, architecture, music, and athletics. These camps give students the opportunity to learn more about their favorite art or sport, connect with Judson's faculty and students, and connect with peers that share their passion.
Students in grades K-12 can hone their music skills at the Fox Valley Music Camp, scheduled for June 24 - 28. Students can explore the fundamentals of music or take private lessons with an experienced instructor, with a recital to capture what they've learned at the end of the week. Prices are based on a child's grade. Learn more and register at JudsonU.edu/fvmc.
The Art Adventure Camp, scheduled for July 8 - 12, is for students grades 6-12. Led by Art & Design Professor Joe Cory and Natalie Shadel '05, an art teacher at Dundee Middle School, the Art Adventure camp is designed to give students instruction on a variety of art techniques, give them opportunity to work with different materials and mediums, teach them about different art and design career possibilities, expose them to the college learning environment, and give them a chance to learn from other creative artists in a Christian environment. Registration for the Art Adventure Camp is $225 before June 15, or $250 after June 15, which includes the cost of supplies and a tshirt.
