Judson Trustee’s Wife Dies

(Elgin, Ill.  February 12, 2010) The Judson community extends its condolences to trustee Wayne Bartee and his family upon the death of his wife, Dr. Alice Fleetwood Bartee, who died on Sunday, February 7. A memorial service to celebrate her faith and life was held Thursday, February 11, at University Heights Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo.

Dr. Fleetwood enjoyed an extensive teaching career and served as a political science professor at Missouri State University for 35 years before her retirement in 2008. She was among the very few women to attain the rank of full professor at that time and the first woman to receive the Liberty Bell Award of the Greene County Bar Association in 1992.
