Judson University Announces New Interim Staff to Athletics Department
(Elgin, IL - April 18, 2013) Judson University administrative officials have announced the induction of two new interim staff members to the athletics department after a year of many changes.
Joel Cotton has been named the Interim Athletic Director to replace former Interim Director Tony Tompkins. Cotton has served Judson's Athletic Department for four years, first as head coach for women's cross country and track and field, as well as the assistant basketball coach, and then as the head coach of the men's basketball program for the 2012-13 academic year. Before coming to Judson, Cotton served as a coach to Anderson University and Indiana University Purdue University-Fort Wayne (IPFW). He graduated from Indiana University in 2003 with a degree in Sports Broadcast and his master's degree in Professional Communication from IPFW in 2005.
Jill Rokosik has been named Judson’s Interim Associate Athletic Director. Rokosik has served as Judson’s head volleyball coach since the 2011-2012 academic year. Before coming to Judson, Rokosik served the athletics departments of both Olivet Nazarene University and Trinity International University. Before serving Trinity International University, Rokosik served as DePaul University’s campus minister. Rokosik graduated from Florida International University in 2001 with a degree in accounting, and earned her Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Trinity International University in 2012.
The Judson University Athletics Department is home to 16 sports programs, including men and women’s soccer, basketball, track and field and cross country, tennis, baseball, softball, volleyball, cheerleading, and lacrosse.
