Judson University Announces New Master of Business Administration Program
(Elgin, IL - October 10, 2013) Judson University's School of Leadership and Business has announced its newest graduate program, a Master of Business Administration, which will begin in the spring of 2014. The Higher Learning Commission officially approved the new master’s degree on September 24.
"Judson University is thrilled to expand its graduate programs, offering students diverse opportunities to embrace lifelong learning while obtaining the knowledge and skills to advance their professional goals," says Director of Graduate Business Programs Dr. David Cook.
This MBA is designed for working adults who desire to upgrade their credentials and be leaders in their fields. Courses integrate quantitative and qualitative concepts from various disciplines including accounting, economics, finance, marketing, operations, leadership, and strategic management, providing students with the tools and techniques needed to solve problems in a wide variety of real-world organizational situations. All courses are designed by professionals for professionals.
This 39 credit-hour program is accelerated and cohort-based. Students can choose from one of the face-to-face cohorts at Judson's Elgin or Rockford locations, or they can choose an online cohort. Students in the program come from a variety of organizations including business, not-for-profit, and government.
"Our MBA builds on the strengths of our School of Leadership and Business, which has prepared several generations of students with best business practices and values-based leadership," says Provost Dr. Will Friesen. "Our purpose is to equip business professionals to lead their organizations and communities with ethical, strategic vision. Judson has the community, the curricula, and the reputation in business education to make it possible in a Christlike way."
Those interested in earning their MBA at Judson University are invited to attend one of two open house events in November to learn more about the program. The first event will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12 in the Lindner Tower Eagle Lounge on Judson’s Elgin campus (1151 N. State St.). The second open house will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 14 at Judson’s Rockford Campus (1055 Featherstone Dr., Suite A.). This master’s program is the newest in a growing number of graduate programs at Judson, including the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, Master of Education in Literacy, and Master of Architecture, as well as their other newest program, the Master of Leadership in Ministry. Judson also just established its first doctorate program, a Doctor of Education in Literacy, this summer.
