Judson University Now Accepting Submissions for 2014 Imago Film Festival

(Elgin, IL - September 23, 2013) Judson University is now accepting film submissions for the tenth annual Imago Film Festival to be held April 1-April 5, 2014 at Judson University in Elgin. The Imago Film Festival showcases faith-based indy film that emphasizes image and story.

The early deadline for submission is December 15 with a fee of $30 and the late deadline is February 15, 2014 with a fee of $40. Submissions must be less than 30 minutes in length in DVD format and deal with images and stories about the spiritual journey of the human experience through any genre the filmmaker sees fit. Filmmakers may submit as many entries as they like. Films will be judged by a panel of local university film and media professors as well as professionals in the field.

This year’s film festival will screen original films and feature nationally known speakers; past speakers have included Ralph Winter (producer of the Star Trek and X-Men film series), David McFadzean (creator of Home Improvement), and Phil Vischer (creator of Veggie Tales). There will also be film discussions, workshops, and an awards ceremony. The prizes for the winning films are as follows: Best of Show - $1000, First Prize (1-15 min) - $300, First Prize (15-30 min) - $300, Audience Choice Award - $150.
