Judson University Works with Dale Carnegie Training® to Offer the Dale Carnegie Course®
(ELGIN, IL - August 11, 2009) Judson University is working with Dale Carnegie Training®, a leading human resources and management consulting organization, to offer the Dale Carnegie Course® on campus. The class will begin on Tuesday, September 22. Judson and Dale Carnegie Training’s collective goal is to provide students with an education to prepare them to be successful leaders and contributors to society.
Judson President Jerry Cain knows of the impact of Dale Carnegie Training through his father’s experience as a graduate of the program. “The Dale Carnegie Course®, stacked on to the general education course, will uniquely qualify the Judson graduate to succeed at a higher level than others going into business, management and leadership. Dale Carnegie was a big asset to my father in his business and in church leadership roles and can greatly assist persons today who need to communicate with authority and clarity,” he states.
Participants of the 12-week Dale Carnegie Course® will learn the critical skills and gain tools needed to succeed in today’s competitive business environment. Outcomes of the program include increased self-confidence, improved communication skills, and enhanced leadership and people skills. Maria Storm, vice president at Dale Carnegie’s Chicago Franchise, had this to say, “Some of the most common things participants tell us after participating in this program are that they were more comfortable taking initiative. They got over the fear that they used to experience when speaking in front of groups, and their increase in self-confidence led to a positive first impression when interviewing, as well as an improved ability to think on their feet.”
