Judson University's Upcoming Preview Overnight Offers Complete Student Experience
(Elgin, IL – October 3,
2011) Guests at Judson University's upcoming Preview Overnight will have
the opportunity to visit campus (1151 N. State St., Elgin) and take part in a complete
student-life experience beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, October 9 through Monday,
October 10.
This special preview overnight event will allow students to
stay in a dorm room overnight, followed by a day of informational sessions
about separate program areas and financial aid opportunities, as well as a
campus tour. Visitors will also have the opportunity talk with current staff,
faculty and students, dine in the cafeteria, and experience several special
programs.
Visitors can also choose to attend Monday’s morning chapel,
which will feature guest speaker guest speaker Dr. Gerald Borchert, senior
professor at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn., and thesis
director at the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Dr. Borchert will
speak in chapel on "Authentic Worship: The Antidote to a Poisonous
Faith." The 10 a.m. service, held in Herrick Chapel, coincides with the
university's semi-annual Worship Arts Lecture Series.
