Judson University to Host Former Prime Minister Tony Blair at Third Annual World Leaders Forum on April 12, 2013

(Elgin, IL - January 22, 2013) Judson University will host its third World Leaders Forum on Friday, April 12, 2013, featuring former Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Tony Blair as the keynote speaker. Mr. Blair served as Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from May 1997 to June 2007. During his 10 years as Prime Minister, Mr. Blair transformed Britain’s public services through a program of investment and reform in schools and hospitals. Since leaving Downing Street, Mr. Blair has served as the Quartet representative to the Middle East, where he represents the United States, United Nations, Russia and the European Union to work with the Palestinians to prepare for statehood as part of the international community’s effort to secure peace. He also has launched the Tony Blair Faith Foundation to promote respect and understanding of and between the major religions and to make the case for faith as a force for good in the modern world. Mr. Blair's memoir, "A Journey: My Political Life" was released in September 2010 and made The New York Times Best Seller List within a week of its release.

At the VIP Event, former Prime Minister Blair will address "Leadership Insights: Faith, Power and the Post Modern World." A moderated Q&A will follow the presentation. All attendees of the VIP event will receive an autographed book from former Prime Minister Blair. VIP attendees and corporate sponsors will be have a photo opportunity with former Prime Minister Blair and enjoy other benefits. Forum leaders believe that this year’s event will continue to bring community, business and political leaders together through the Community Event, which has tickets available to the public. At the Community Event, former Prime Minister Blair will give opening remarks followed by an extended, moderated Q&A.

Proceeds from this year’s World Leaders Forum will be donated to the Entrepreneurial Endowment Fund and the Judson Student Scholarship Fund to assist current Judson students.
