Judson to Host “Magic of Music” Benefit Concert and Magic Show

(ELGIN, IL January 16, 2012) Judson University’s Department of Music is hosting the “Magic of Music” Benefit Concert and Magic Show at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 11 in Herrick Chapel, located on Judson’s Elgin campus (1151 N. State St.).

This family-friendly event will feature Judson music faculty and special guests, the “Amazing Carringtons,” a group of master musician-magicians. Proceeds will help provide scholarship aid to students interested in attending the Fox Valley Music Camp and/or participating in the Judson Community Music School. The Judson Community Music School and Fox Valley Music Camp at Judson University are two community outreach programs available through the university’s Music Department. Since 2006, these community initiatives have provided quality and affordable music opportunities to budding young musicians in the Elgin area, with a special focus on the under-resourced and families with multiple children pursuing music studies.
