Judson to Pilot Three-Year Program
(ELGIN, IL - September 24, 2009) Judson University will be piloting a three-year degree program in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing beginning the fall of 2010. Students in the program will take the exact same courses as those enrolled in the current four-year program, but will be able to complete their degree in three years by participating in two full summer sessions.
“The program will allow motivated students to complete their degree and participate in two internship experiences at least a full year ahead of the normal schedule, thus allowing them to enter the workforce earlier to maximize their earning potential,” notes Tom Voigt, marketing professor in Judson’s School of Leadership and Business.
Currently, students in a variety of majors at Judson can customize their education in a manner that allows them to complete their degrees in three to three-and-one-half years. This new offering is the first program specifically designed with that option in mind. The standard four-year program in Marketing will continue to be offered as well. If the three-year format proves to be attractive to significant numbers of incoming students, additional programs in other majors will be added.
