Twenty-Fifth Commemoration of the Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda

(ELGIN, IL – May 14, 2019) Judson University will be the host site on Saturday, May 18, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in Herrick Chapel (1151 N. State St., Elgin), for a program to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the genocide against the Tutsi that took place in Rwanda in 1994.

Mr. Emmanuel Kwizera, genocide survivor and International Missions Director at Africa Evangelistic Enterprises, and Ms. Claudia Marebe Kalisa, a Rwandan youth, will speak during the event. Other speakers include Elodie Shami, Education and Communication Officer at the Rwandan Embassy and Anna Moeller, Illinois State Representative for the 43rd District.

The public is invited to attend this Commemoration.
