Judson launched the program for the 2008-09 academic year and had nine churches and 11 students participate. The CHUC program will benefit both the Judson University students and the local churches. CHUC, which stands for Church-University Cooperative, will partner Judson University students with local churches based on the churches' needs. The Judson University student will earn pay from the church along with a scholarship from Judson as they learn how to become a lay person within the church.
