Academic Societies at Judson University

Students at Judson have the opportunity to participate in the following academic societies!

Alpha Lambda Delta (Freshman Honor Society)

Alpha Lambda Delta (ΑΛΔ) is a freshman honor society that recognizes traditional students who have achieved a 3.5 grade point average in their freshman year at Judson University.

Tau Sigma Delta (Architecture)

The Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts (ΤΣΔ) is the only national honor society for architecture and design majors that is accredited by the Association of College Honor Societies.

Alpha Sigma Lambda (Adult Students)

The Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society (ΑΣΛ) honors students in the Adult Professional program who are in the top ten percent of their class, having a minimum grade point average of 3.2 in at least 30 graded credit hours.

Theta Alpha Kappa (Biblical Studies)

The Theta Alpha Kappa National Honor Society (ΘΑΚ) honors traditional students majoring or minoring in Biblical and Theological Studies (and related fields) who achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.5 in at least 15 credit hours of Biblical and Theological Studies coursework and a minimum grade point average of 3.0 overall at Judson University.

Kappa Delta Pi (Education)

Kappa Delta Pi (ΚΔΠ) is the largest organization of exceptional education professionals in the world. Being a member of KDP sets you apart from other educators, enhances your career by providing you with resources and services, and connects you to other teachers as well. The Alpha Epsilon Chi Chapter of KDP at Judson University began in April 2010 and is continually growing. Kappa Delta Pi honors traditional and adult students who have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.5 in at least 30 credit hours of coursework.

Phi Alpha Theta (History)

The Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society (ΦΑΘ) honors traditional students who major/minor in History and who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and a 3.2 in History coursework.

Pi Mu Epsilon - Illinois Iota chapter (Math)

Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. Students must have maintained a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4 point scale and have maintained at least a B average in mathematics during the school year prior to their election.

Psi Chi (Psychology)

Psi Chi (ΨΧ) is the international honor society for psychology. Membership in Psi Chi is open to students who major/minor in Psychology, are in the top 35 percent in general scholarship and have a minimum grade point average of 3.2 in Psychology coursework.
