M.A. Architecture, 2004
South Rockwood, MI
What do you do in your current job and what do you enjoy about it?
I provide architectural services for industrial projects, specializing in automotive assembly plants. I enjoy the collaborative process that goes into designing plants that are over two million square feet in size and knowing that I am helping to boost the local economy by adding almost two thousand new jobs per plant.
How did your Judson experience influence you professionally? What were your favorite parts of being a Judson student?
It gave me a foundation, a filter of sorts through which to view the world, my workplace and my projects.
What are the strengths of your major/program at Judson?
I liked the rigorous application of trial and error design study. It is the ability to test ideas to ensure they will withstand real-life application that makes an architectural education successful.
What advice can you give to current and prospective students about their time at Judson?
Enjoy the pursuit of knowledge while in school because that isn't the focus in the workplace, and grow strong in your faith because storms will come.
