The Biblical & Theological Studies Department contributes to the overall mission of the University by:
- Acquainting students with a basic overview and introductory understanding of the Judeo-Christian Scriptures.
- Introducing students to basic principles of Biblical interpretation.
- Providing students opportunities to apply both the overview of the Bible and basic principles of interpretation to a particular Biblical book or major cluster within the testaments.
- Offering students a capstone experience in the senior year designed to produce an integration of the Christian faith with significant and relevant life issues.
- Designing, in consultation with students, a major in Biblical studies that provides a foundation for graduate study in a cognate field and entry level preparation for professional seminary education.
- Complementing the program and preparation of students specializing in other divisions by offering appropriate minors in Biblical studies and philosophy.

In the Division of Christian Religion, Philosophy & Ministry at Judson University, you’ll have classes in youth ministry, adolescent studies and Biblical studies. You'll have meaningful opportunities to minister through outreach and volunteer work, as well as internships and travel abroad. And, you’ll be prepared to pursue graduate work in areas like theology, biblical studies, counseling psychology and social work.
