Dr. Cook is a graduate of Wheaton College with an undergraduate degree in history and theology and a graduate degree in communication (journalism). Dr. Cook’s doctorate is from Nova Southeastern University in Higher Education Leadership.
Dr. David Cook is an Associate Professor and Dean of Graduate Programs for The School of Business and Professional Studies at Judson University located in Elgin, Illinois. Previously he worked as a consultant for Deloitte Consulting, for the Sears Automotive Division as the Director of Training, and for the United States Army where he specialized in personnel and public affairs, retiring in 1995. Dr. Cook has over 30 years of leadership experience with national and international organizations including living and working in Europe and the Middle East for over 9 years.
He has taught leadership and business at Judson University for the past 10 years. Dr. Cook was an Assistant Professor and coached for over four years at the University of Tampa, and has done adjunct work for Webster University, Columbia College, City Colleges of Chicago, and The University of Phoenix Online facilitating courses on leadership, team building, business ethics, negotiation, intercultural communication, essay writing, human resources, business communication, research and how to become a successful student.
Dr. Cook currently resides in Crystal Lake with his wife of 35 years, Sheri, and his two children, Jonathan (27) and Alissa (25) and is actively involved in the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake where he has served as an Elder for over 11 years, including 6 years as the Senior Elder/Church Chairman, and teaches the Prime Timers Sunday School class.
