Communication Arts Conference

ConferencePresentationFor two days of every semester, English majors and students in Communication Studies present their work at the Communication Arts conference. Students attend hourly sessions, engaging in dialogue with the presenters about their research, reinforcing skills relevant to their intellectual and professional development.

The Communication Arts Conference is based on the idea that learning takes place outside the classroom. Ideas in important “final” projects continue to grow and flourish beyond the end of any one class.

Ultimately, the Communication Arts Conference helps to reward, professionalize, and build community among students in communication-related majors. Every semester, scholarship awards are given for the best conference presentations.
