Biography
Dr. Linda Sasser has taught at Trinity Christian College, Wheaton College, and Elmhurst College, as well as in the public schools.  She has conducted in-service training for school districts and conducts professional development workshops on memory and learning strategies. She has also done extensive speaking on cognitive aging and memory at churches and retirement communities.  Dr. Sasser lives with her husband Carey; their daughter and son-in-law reside in Florida and their son is an officer in the United States Marines Corps.  Dr. Sasser is actively involved in the ministry of her church, Medinah Baptist.
 

Interests, Expertise, and InvolvementsDr. Sasser's secular passion is human memory, especially as it relates to learning strategies.  She gives presentations on memory function and improvement, understanding age-related memory changes, and maintaining cognitive vitality.  Her other interests include emotional intelligence, and the impact of brain gender differences on learning.  She has served as a counselor for high school students at Bair Lake Bible Camp in Jones, MI, and as a Special Interest Lecturer aboard cruise ships. 

Professional SocietiesDr. Sasser is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and Division 15 Educational Psychology of the APA (American Psychological Assocation). 

Current ProjectsDr. Sasser continues to research and speak about strategies for successful aging (especially memory), gender differences in learning, brain-based learning strategies, and emotional intelligence.
