What do you do in your current job and what do you enjoy about it?
I provide strategic support for internal higher education clients in social media and digital video production (new media) and consult with external clients privately as well.
How did your Judson experience influence you professionally? What were your favorite parts of being a Judson student?
The gateway to learning was wide open at Judson and I had access to tools and technologies I use every day in my career, along with mentors and professors who took personal interest in my success and educational enrichment.
What are the strengths of your major/program at Judson?
In my world (technology and media) things change very rapidly, so being able to stay on top of the latest tools and techniques is essential. Not only did the labs in the media program at Judson give access to new and powerful tools, but the leadership in the department spent extra hours staying on top of trends themselves in order to help students keep an eye on what's important about how media as an industry is changing, without losing focus on the history and lessons of the past.
What advice can you give to current and prospective students about their time at Judson?
Any college you choose to go to is going to require effort on your part in order for the most to be made of it. At most colleges, however, you are left entirely alone in that pursuit. The faculty at Judson will meet you half way; if you reach out to them, they will reach out to you and your future will be all the better for it.
