Film and Media
Film and Media Majors
As the presence and influence of media grows, our program offers students the means to shape media and their world for the better. Whether it is in the fields of media writing, media management, or audio/video production, students gain expertise through classroom, practicum, and internship experiences that make use of Chicago area opportunities.
In addition to being one of the most comprehensive media programs at a Christian University, ours is unique with events such as the Imago Film Festival and the Reel Conversations Film Series.

Film and Media Minors
As film and visual digital media become more prevalent, the need to understand, interact, and shape visual culture has become necessary in a wide variety of professions. Upon entering your respective field, you will very likely be expected to be conversant in the visual sensibilities that influence art, rhetoric, and advertising. Moreover, you should be able use film and digital media in ways that serve to represent higher ethical standards. With classes like God in the Movies and Visual Art and New Media, the Film Studies / Visual Culture minor is designed to help you achieve these ends by giving you exposure to this field of study. Interdisciplinary in focus, the minors bring together ideas on image and word central to Christian theology.
