The Reel Conversations Film Series
A joint venture involving the Department of Communication Arts and the Department of Biblical and Theological Studies, the Reel Conversations Film Series encourages real conversations about culture, faith, and contemporary film. The premise of Reel Conversations is simple: film should be taken seriously. The film series helps us to engage contemporary films from a Christian perspective in terms of what they are saying and how they are saying it.
Each month, a film is screened in Judson University’s Marjorie Hall Thulin Fine Arts Performance Hall; the screening is followed by a discussion facilitated by a member of the Judson community in which we critically engage the film. Intended for the campus community, the film series is free and chapel credit is available for students in attendance. In addition, extra credit is regularly offered for students in select classes.
