A Chicago-area native, Professor Halverson teaches courses on Medieval Europe, the Reformation, the History of Christianity, and World History. His research interests coincide with and compliment his teaching, having published books on Medieval Christianity and World History.

Craig Kaplowitz hails from New Jersey (last exit), went to college and graduate school in the South, and now lives and works in the Midwest, leaving him fluent in three great American dialects. His scholarship focuses on the history of American policy development, particularly in civil rights and immigration.

Born and raised in Burma/Myanmar, Angelene Naw joined the University of Rangoon as a faculty member in 1971 and taught history courses until 1984 when she received the East-West Center scholarship in Honolulu to pursue her Ph.D degree at the University of Hawaii.
