Fall 2014 Orientation Weekend

August 22-24, 2014

Orientation for all new incoming students! Please note that orientation is mandatory, so please plan accordingly! Parents, you are welcomed to attend.
(Readmit students and graduate students are not required to attend orientation).

The mission for Orientation Weekend is to integrate students into the academic and social culture of Judson University providing them with opportunities for success at Judson as well as in their future educational pursuits, careers and lives.



Sign-ups for Orientation Weekend are now being taken. We kindly ask all new students sign up by August 1. If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent you from attending, please indicate those in your registration.

Sign-Up Now for Orientation Weekend

We ask that all new students sign up by August 1. Signing up will secure your spot for a free dinner for yourself and up to two guests on Friday evening (compliments of Judson University’s Creative Dining). If you are unable to attend part of the orientation due to extenuating circumstances, please indicate this when you register.

New Student Check-In Times

Resident Students

Resident students with the last name of A-L will move to their respective dorms from 8-9:30 a.m.
Resident students with the last name of M-Z will move in from 9:30-11 a.m.
There will be several student leaders available to assist you in the move in process. Further information about housing and the move in process will be provided at a later time.

Commuter Students

All commuter students will check in at 11 a.m. (Location: TBA).

Underclassman Students (0-59 semester hours)

Students who have 0-59 semester hours will be required to register for GEN101 Entering the Conversation course. GEN101 is a semester long course that begins during Orientation Weekend. You will meet with your GEN101 professor and student mentors several times during Orientation Weekend. They are excited about welcoming you and helping you have an amazing college experience! Upperclassman Students (60+ semester hours)

Students with 60+ earned semester hours will follow the upperclassman track during Orientation Weekend. There are many sessions created with you specifically in mind and there will be Orientation Weekend Leaders (OWL's) that will help you to acclimate to Judson's culture.

Sessions for Parents

Parents, we did not forget about you! You too will have a track to follow during Orientation that has been created with you in mind by parents who have been through the journey you are embarking upon. Parents and guests of students are welcomed to attend Orientation, but do encourage a lunchtime departure on Saturday, August 23.
