Fall Play - Altar-ed: Scenes in a Bridal Shop
Altar-ed: Scenes in a Bridal Shop
Join us for the second week of Altar-ed: Scenes in a Bridal Shop, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 30 and Friday, October 31, and at 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 1 (note time change). Like last fall’s wildly successful “Brew Ha-ha” production, “Altar-ed” will give audience members an opportunity to become part of the act by dressing up as brides, grooms or any member of the bridal party. Expect this zany, comedic production to be a lively interactive take on a day at a bridal shop, where associates Richard and Anna attempt to fulfill the outlandish dreams of various couples. This show reunites local director McHenry County's Kellee Stall, whose successes include “Spoon River” and “Brew Ha-ha,” with alumnus and adjunct Ashley (McCambridge) Mowers ‘11 in her playwriting debut, and students Adam Moxness and Kayla Nicosia as composer and lyricist, respectively. We encourage the audience to become part of this event by coming dressed as a wedding guest or as part of the bridal party.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, $8 for seniors and groups of 15 or more, and can be ordered by calling the Box Office at 847-628-2625.
