Judson University Writing Awards

The English Department offers cash prizes for the best student writers in the categories of Creative Writing and Scholarly Writing, open to all full-time Judson undergraduates from any major.

The 2018 winners were: 
For Creative Writing:
Micah Anderson, "Bri's Last Wish" (screenplay)
Dietrich Heiss, "Decolonize my Tongue" (poem)

For Scholarly Writing:
Sarah Jenkins, "Mental Health and Power Disparity in Charlotte Perkins Gilman's 'The Yellow Wallpaper'"
Maxwell Starcevich, "Houses or Temples? Reassessing the Function of Gobekli Tepe."

The 2017 winner was:
Catherine Anderson, "Redefining Piety in Homer's Odyssey."
