Course-Level Assessment

Each course has stated learning outcomes- knowledge and skills students should master by the time the course is over. Outcomes guide curriculum design, instructional methods, and assignments.

Assignments and Grades

Assignments help provide evidence of learning outcome mastery. The grades for individual assignments and exams add up to a culminating course grade. Culminating course grades make up students’ grade point averages (GPAs).

Course Evaluations

Students anonymously complete course evaluations at the end of each course. The evaluations provide additional feedback to professors about their teaching methods and curriculum design.

Professors combine all of the above- the outcomes, assignment grades, course grades, course evaluations, and their own observations, to adapt courses, if needed, for the future.
