Adjunct Instructor of Interior Design

Job Summary:

The Department of Architecture and Interior Design seeks an adjunct instructor to teach one or more courses: INT 324:Building Codes and Universal Design Spring 2021 (01/12/21-05/11/21) and/or INT352 ID Studio II: Residential, Kitchen and Bath Spring 2021 (01/12/21-05/11/21) INT451 ID Studio II: Residential, Kitchen and Bath Fall 2021 (08/22/21-12/15/21). Applicants must support Judson University’s liberal arts-based programs, distinctively Christian mission, and community standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teach INT 324:Building Codes and Universal Design and/or INT352:ID Studio II: Residential, Kitchen and Bath which satisfies an Interior Design requirement. Instructors are responsible for delivering the content of the course, to meet pre- identified CIDA standards. The listing of standards necessary for each course will be provided. The instructor will be creating appropriate lesson plans and assignments, grading papers, holding office hours as needed, and submitting both midterm and final grades. The Adjunct professor will assist with building, coordination and maintenance of the interior design resource library.

Qualifications:

Candidates should 1) hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. A master’s degree is preferred 2) share a commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community, 3) demonstrate a vital and growing Christian faith. Experience in teaching courses similar to INT324 is preferred. Experience in teaching courses similar to INT351 and/or professional experience is preferred.

Salary/Benefits:
Adjunct faculty hold the rank of instructor and are hired on a per course basis.
