Assistant or Associate Professor of Educational Research and Instruction (Tenure Track)

Job Summary:

The graduate programs in literacy within the Division of Education at Judson University invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Educational Research and Instruction at the assistant or associate level, starting AY2019-2020. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties are exclusively at the masters and doctoral level and will include team-teaching in graduate-level research and writing courses as well as potentially teaching in the candidate’s area of specialty at the doctoral level. Experience with or affinity for literacy as an area of specialization is helpful. The successful candidate is expected to conduct an active research agenda in the field of education, advise masters and doctoral candidates, and work collaboratively with colleagues.  The duties of the position also include student advising and participation in department and university governance.


Candidates must 1) possess an earned doctorate, (ABD will be considered, but the completed doctoral degree is required by the start of the contract, August 16, 2019); 2) have documented or demonstrable potential to develop a strong scholarly record with evidence of ability to conduct and disseminate educational research; 3) present evidence of superlative teaching experience at the graduate level); 4) offer excellent interpersonal skills in relation to faculty, administration, staff, and students; 5) have a commitment to the Mission, Educational Goals, and Community Standards of the University; 6) have the ability to integrate faith and the discipline of Educational Research in an engaging and compelling manner; and 7) possess collaborative skills to work with colleagues across the Department and throughout the University
