Activities Planned for Black History Month at Judson University
(ELGIN, IL – February 10, 2021) Judson University’s Black Student Union and others on campus are planning several events during Black History Month. The events below are subject to change.
February 11, Black History Month Jersey Day
Judson University’s Black Student Union is encouraging the campus to wear the jerseys, numbers, and/or colors of their favorite Black athletes. This is the first theme in the collection of events being planned for Black History Month and a great way to honor the sports superstars that have inspired us past, present, and future.

February 17, Mental Health / SAD Awareness Week
Judson University’s Black Student Union in collaboration with The Wellness Center and Nelicia Butler, LCPC, at Barnum Counseling invites you to a panel discussion “ADDRESSING Student Questions” regarding counseling and mental health. Join us in this virtual event and observe a mock counseling session to see what really happens behind closed doors. Learn how culture influences our mental health and earn Chapel credit by joining our panel discussion. Judson community members are invited to join the virtual event through this link.

"Colors of Characters" Movie Premiere about the Steve Skipper story following a live Zoom with Steve Skipper
This BSU fundraiser will include popcorn and pizza. Tickets will be $8 with special student discount; $12 for others.
