Architecture Lecture to Feature Gary Wang, AIA

Gary Wang2(ELGIN, IL – February 14, 2020) Judson University’s Department of Architecture will host a lecture featuring Gary Wang at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 21, in Herrick Chapel (1151 N. State St., Elgin). This continues the department’s ongoing Architecture Lecture series, and is free and open to the public.

Gary Wang, AIA is the Principal Architect and Founder of Wang Architects. Based in Austin, Texas, Wang has extensive experience with residential and commercial projects of all sizes and scales. He has led projects for prestigious firms such as Machado and Silvetti, Jonathan Levi Architects, and Tigerman McCurry. He has direct projects with small budgets and projects in excess of $100 million.

In addition to his architectural accolades, Wang has also received numerous awards including the President’s Award from the Texas Downtown Association. He is a licensed architect in Texas, New York, Massachusetts and Illinois, having received his Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan. Gary also teaches design and construction at the University of Texas at Austin.

Judson offers a 136-hour bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design and a 42-hour master’s degree in Architecture.
