 Concert Celebrates Christmas with Jeorge Holmes

(UPDATED ELGIN, IL – December 1, 2020) Judson University’s Demoss Center for Worship in the Performing Arts will host its annual Christmas event at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, at Judson’s Herrick Chapel and two other locations on campus as well as virtually.

Jeorge Holmes ConcertJeorge Holmes, singer-entertainer extraordinaire, will be the guest artist at this Saturday's Demoss Center for Worship in the Performing Arts Christmas Concert of Worship, replacing the previously announced artist, Maria Kanyova. Jeorge is no stranger to Judson or the Chicago area, as both a Judson alum and a consummate vocalist and stage personality. Jeorge provides vocal entertainment for many nonprofit and Christian organizations around the Northwest and Chicago area, has been a guest speaker, and professionally coaches those facing trauma/transition.

Jeorge has spent most of his adult life serving others in ministry, education and through his musical gifts. Jeorge has served in full-time pastoral ministry for 27 years with two churches in California and two in Elgin, including Highland Fellowship Church and Highland Christian Academy. For the last eight years, Jeorge established and led “Love Elgin Day” which partners with 40 churches, 30 businesses and city service groups to provide health and other services to thousands of community members as a faith-based effort to demonstrate the love of Jesus. Jeorge graduated from Judson in 1989 and is an adjunct faculty at Judson University.

Jeorge will perform in Herrick Chapel with the performance viewed in person in Herrick Chapel and simulcast to two other locations, Creekside South, Room 126 and Thulin Auditorium in Thompson Hall, all of which are located on Judson’s Elgin campus. Audience members will be gently screened upon arrival and asked to wear masks for the duration of the performance.

Philanthropy group “Friends of Judson” will sell Christmas crafts, amaryllis bulbs, nuts, candy, and gift cards in the upper level of Betty Lindner Commons before and after the concert with proceeds benefiting Judson students.

Tickets are available through and are not available for purchase at the door. Ticket prices (plus handling fees) for each venue are as follows:

$50 for Herrick Chapel
$20 for Creekside South, Room 126
$20 for Thulin Auditorium in Thompson Hall
