Demoss Center for Worship in the Performing Arts Plans Full Performance Schedule for the Fall 

Orchestra 2018 (ELGIN, IL – November 1, 2019) The Judson Civic Orchestra will perform on Sunday, November 17, at 2 p.m. in Herrick Chapel on the beautiful riverside campus of Judson University (1151 N. State Street, Elgin).

“For our Fall concert, the Judson Civic Orchestra will be presenting some of the best known and beloved symphonic repertoire of all time,” said Dr. Robert Kania, Artistic Director.

Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, from the New World, based on Native American songs and African American spirituals, will be the featured work. Two movements from an orchestral suite of Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg will also be performed, as well as Salut d'amour by Sir Edward Elgar. A beautiful brass arrangement of a Thanksgiving hymn, “We Gather Together,” will complete the concert performance.

Admission at the door will be $10 Adults, $8 Seniors; with students and children free of charge.

Other DCWPA small ensemble and student recitals will also be held in November and December. These events will satisfy many musical tastes, from classical to jazz and many genres in between! All recitals are free of charge and will be held in Thulin Auditorium in Thompson Hall at 7:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted:
