Judson Announces Developing New Partnership with Covenant Christian School

(ELGIN, IL – March 28, 2019) Judson University announces an exciting new partnership that is developing with Covenant Christian School (CCS) of Aurora, Ill., to help grow Christian education available from pre-K through college. The announcement was made on Saturday, March 23, at West Aurora High School during the CCS 40th Anniversary Celebration Concert featuring Artist in Residence Huntley Brown.

CCS AnnouncementAs a board member at CCS, Huntley introduced the idea of creating a partnership between the two schools since both organizations share a like-minded theology and appreciation for the values of a Christian education.
This new partnership will allow for the university to introduce Judson to elementary and middle-school aged students much earlier and positions the university as a college offering academic excellence and shared Christian values. The partnership also may include providing scholarships for CCS alumni who are admitted to Judson. Details of the agreement are still under consideration and will be finalized this spring.
“At Judson, we are looking forward to deepening our relationship with Covenant Christian School of Aurora so that their students can continue with a Christian education as they pursue their college careers,” said Judson President Gene Crume. “We hope that this partnership might inspire other Christian schools to provide this continuity and quality of education more widely.”
Judson currently does not have any partnership agreements with pre-K thru 12 Christian schools. The new relationship will not limit or change the way Judson recruits students from other Christian schools, but seeks to provide a continuum of education from Pre-K through college.
