(ELGIN, IL – September 9, 2020) Judson University has announced that four incoming freshmen have been selected to participate in the Judson Leadership Scholars (JLS) program. The Judson Leadership Scholarship program was established with funds raised from the annual World Leaders Forum event, which has welcomed global leaders, including Caroline Kennedy, Newt Gingrich and Howard Dean, Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan as well as Felipe Calderon, Condoleezza Rice, Tony Blair, Mikhail Gorbachev, and George W. Bush since its inception in 2011. This is the most prestigious scholarship that a Judson University student can receive; a limited number of recipients are selected for this honor annually. In order to be eligible, students must demonstrate creativity, leadership, innovation, mission and faith. They must also be in good academic standing, maintaining a 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, student scholars agree to be ambassadors for annual World Leaders Forum events.

Along with the financial aid package, Judson Leadership Scholars have access to unique opportunities for the purpose of cultivating their aptitude for leadership. They receive a sponsored ticket to World Leaders Forum Events and get the opportunity to interview for the World Leaders Forum Internship position during their sophomore, junior and senior years at Judson. Student scholars are also invited to the Scholars Dinner in Chicago, an exclusive reception with Judson’s president, a renowned business leader, trustees and distinguished alumni.
