Fox Valley Music Camp | Judson University Christian College

Fox Valley Music Camp 2021
Steel Drums, Percussion & Ukuleles for Everyone!

Make a joyful noise to the Lord! (Psalm 100:1)

NOT for Percussionists only! Are you a pianist, vocalist, percussionist, instrumentalist  or simply interested in a fun camp experience? Wherever you are in your musical journey, exploring percussion will help you improve your sense of rhythm, listening skills, and ensemble playing!

This week-long day camp is open to both the musically experienced and the beginner. Come explore the world of percussion and learn how to play the steel drum (a.k.a. steelpan) and the ukulele, too! (O.K., so the ukulele is not a percussion instrument, but it's still loads of fun!) We will also learn a bit of the cultural background and history of the instruments and the music, with a few surprises along the way.

Lunch will be provided. The last day of camp will feature a concert for family and friends. The camp will run from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily, July 19-23, and is for 6th-12th graders.

The camp plans to be in-person, however if CDC or local guidelines change, the camp will pivot to a hybrid approach, with mornings in-person and afternoons virtual.

*Price includes lunch in the cafeteria each day

Sibling Discount: Oldest camper full price, 10% off each younger sibling

Registration Deadline: Monday, July 12, 2021
