Karli Allen

Psychology, Class of 2020

Karli Allen of Tuscola, Ill., has had a heart for helping people ever since she was a little girl, which is why she decided to pursue that passion during her college career and major in psychology. Her goal is to become a clinical psychologist focusing on dual diagnosis with substance abuse.

Karli attended three different schools throughout her college career, but it wasn’t until she got to Judson that she truly felt she was home.

“The community is so welcoming,” Karli said. “Here [at Judson], I have been able to grow, not only as a student and an athlete, but I’ve been able to grow as a Christian.”

After her first visit to Judson, Karli was sure she belonged here. The Judson softball player says she appreciated the sense of community and was surprised to find out how caring the advisors, professors, coaches, and students are. She spoke about how they have gone above and beyond to make her feel understood and welcome.

“I’ve truly loved my time at Judson,” Karli said. “I’ve gained life-long friends and mentors. It’s brought me closer to God and strengthened my beliefs.”

Karli plans to complete her degree in the Fall of 2020 and hopes to build a career out of helping people within the psychology field after she graduates.
