Anaiah Wilson-Poston

Worship Arts, Class of 2021

Anaiah Wilson-Poston of Carlock, Ill., has always loved singing and worship music. She loved it so much that she planned to major in Worship Arts.

Anaiah chose to attend Judson because of its Worship Arts program and because of the community she saw when she was visiting. She said that when she was applying to Judson that this is where God wanted her to be and she didn’t want to apply anywhere else.

“I don’t think, as a sophomore, I’m even scratching the surface of all of what God has to offer,” Anaiah said. “Judson is truly a place like no other and I’m so blessed to be walking this campus every day.”

Now, she gives back to the Judson community as part of the University Ministry worship team and a musical worship leader during Judson’s chapel. She also sings in the Judson Choir and serves as an officer. The Judson sophomore recently added a Sociology minor to her studies.

“I chose [a sociology minor] because I’m interested in helping those who are oppressed solely because of age, race, gender, and social class,” Anaiah said. “I’m interested in understanding people and their social behaviors.”

Anaiah’s long-term plan is to lead worship and create her own music one day. She also hopes to shape the lives of kids and lower-income families one day by doing what she can to help them.
