Why Study History at Judson?
At Judson, History and Pre-law are about more than facts and dates. We examine the human condition, equipping you to be an agent of change to a world in need. With courses taught by a diverse group of faculty, our history program prepares you for graduate study, or a potential career in education, ministry, the legal profession, politics and government, museums and libraries, and more. You will also have the opportunity to participate in exciting on-campus activities like the World Leaders Forum, which introduces students to leaders who inspire change in the world.

Vigorous Coursework
Our vigorous coursework will help prepare you for a rapidly changing marketplace and potential further graduate study by building skills in the deep reading of source material, collection and evaluation of data, careful attention to detail, and effective and persuasive communication.
Research Focus
You will have the opportunity to conduct an extensive research project and distinguish yourself by potentially present the results of your research in Chicago or nationally, including: Conference on Faith and History’s National Conference, Chicagoland Christian College Student Research Conference, The Center for South East Asian Studies at Northern Illinois University.
The World is Your Classroom
You can take part in a variety of study abroad programs on nearly every continent to enhance your education with real-world experience. A semester off campus at the American Studies Program in Washington, D.C., allows students to take two courses and complete an internship. Students have interned at the White House Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives, Amnesty International, Smithsonian Institution, Republican National Committee, White House Speechwriter’s Office, National Right to Life Committee, Heritage Foundation, and Senate and House offices.
